1. Introduction and scope
This Privacy Policy explains how QATSOL Consulting LLC (“QATSOL”, “we”, “us”, “our”) collects, uses, shares and protects personal data when you visit our website https://qatsol.com or contact us through it. We process personal data in accordance with Qatar’s Law No. 13 of 2016 on Personal Data Privacy Protection (“PDPPL”) and the guidelines issued by Qatar’s National Cyber Security Agency (NCSA).

3. What personal data we collect
a) When you visit the website. Your browser automatically sends technical information that is stored in server log files: your IP address, the date and time of access, the file or page requested, the website you came from (referrer), and your browser type and operating system.
b) When you use our contact form. We collect the details you enter: your name, email address, phone number, company, indicative budget, your message, and your confirmation of the consent checkbox.
We do not knowingly collect personal data of a “special nature” (such as health, religion or ethnicity) through this website. Please do not submit such information via the contact form.
4. How we collect personal data
- Directly from you, when you complete and submit the contact form.
- Automatically, through server log files created when your browser requests pages.
- Through cookies (see section 6).
5. Purposes and legal basis
Under the PDPPL we process personal data either on the basis of your consent, or on the basis of a lawful purpose (such as our legitimate interest, or a legal or contractual requirement).

We do not use your data to build personal profiles about you, and we do not carry out automated decision-making that produces legal effects.
6. Cookies and tracking
Our website currently uses only technically necessary cookies that are required for the site to work (for example a WordPress test cookie and session/preference cookies). These do not track you across other websites.
We do not currently use advertising cookies, Google Analytics, Matomo, or social-media tracking pixels. If we introduce analytics or marketing cookies in the future, we will ask for your active opt-in consent before setting them, as required under the PDPPL. Most browsers allow you to block or delete cookies in their settings; disabling all cookies may limit some website functions.
7. Third parties and processors
To operate the website we rely on the following service providers, who may receive your IP address and technical data when a page loads:

Contact-form submissions are stored in our website database (hosted by checkdomain) and are also sent to us by email. We use a geo-IP database (MaxMind) locally on our server to apply country-based access rules; this look-up runs on our own server and does not transmit your data to MaxMind. We do not sell your personal data.
8. International data transfers
Because some of the providers listed above are located outside Qatar (in the EU and the USA), your technical data may be transferred internationally. Under Article 15 of the PDPPL, such transfers are permitted provided the general obligations of the law are met and there is no serious risk to your data or privacy. We only use established providers that apply appropriate technical and organisational safeguards.
9. How long we keep your data
- Contact-form data: kept for as long as needed to handle your request and any resulting business relationship, and then deleted, unless we are legally required to keep it longer.
- Server log data: kept only for a limited period for security and troubleshooting purposes, then deleted or anonymised.
10. How we protect your data
We use SSL/TLS encryption for data transmitted through this website, together with appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect personal data against loss, misuse, unauthorised access, disclosure or alteration. These measures are reviewed and improved on an ongoing basis.
11. Your rights
Subject to the PDPPL, you have the right to:
- be informed about how we process your data;
- access the personal data we hold about you and obtain a copy;
- have inaccurate or incomplete data corrected;
- request erasure of your data;
- request restriction of processing;
- receive your data in a structured, commonly used format (data portability);
- object to processing, including for direct marketing;
- withdraw your consent at any time, where processing is based on consent.
To exercise any of these rights, email contact@qatsol.com. We will respond within 30 days. Exercising these rights is free of charge, except for manifestly unfounded or excessive requests.
12. Direct marketing
We do not currently send marketing emails or a newsletter. If we do so in the future, we will only send them after your prior, explicit opt-in consent; every message will identify us as the sender, be clearly marked as marketing, and give you the ability to unsubscribe at any time (Article 22 PDPPL).
13. Complaints
If you believe we have not handled your personal data lawfully, please contact us first at contact@qatsol.com so we can resolve the matter. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with Qatar’s supervisory authority, the National Cyber Governance and Assurance Affairs (NCGAA) at the National Cyber Security Agency (NCSA).
14. Children
This website is intended for businesses and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.
15. Visitors from the European Union
If and to the extent the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) applies to a particular visitor, we will honour the rights that regulation provides. This policy is, however, primarily based on the law of the State of Qatar.
16. Changes to this policy
This Privacy Policy is valid as of the date stated at the top. We may update it as our website, services or legal requirements change. The current version is always available on this page.
